How to install indicator light for shift points??

I want to temporarily install some bulbs to let me know where my GN is shifting at. I have turbolink which is too slow for an accurate indication so if I can have a light while looking at the tach will give me a better idea of where it is shifting.
Can I tap off the switches easy enough?

BTW, where should a stock trans shift at?

do you have a tach (not the indash led ) ? if not the light will be useless if your trying to use the scanmaster as that uses the same aldl data and update rate as turbolink

and if you have a tach no need for a light just look at tach and see how high it goes before it drops
