I have a peg leg rear end and run in the 12s. I just got my new BFGoodrich drag radials mounted on my stock rims. How should I adjust my air bags for the peg leg?? I know that all cars are different, but is there any way to make my peg leg act mroe like a posi at the track by adjusting the airbags?? How much better is a posi anyways?? Is it a ngiht and day difference in launching? cuase I feel that my car gets off the line pretty well, but maybe I just dont know how it really should be. thanks.

When I had a pegleg the best way to set up the airbags was 0 in the left and ~70psi in the right. It looked like it was going to pop any second and was squashing out between the coils. The car had a major lean to one side LOL. But that's what worked for me. As long as the road was perfect with no dirt or crown or any imperfections it would spin both tires evenly. At the same time it wouldn't squat much but it was better than spinning one wheel and going no where. Yes, a posi is much better especially if the conditions aren't perfect.

Another thing is when my car broke traction from speed it was completely unpredictable. It would change directions in and instant. With the posi it's extremely easy to countersteer and very predictable.

Amen on the completely unpredictable. Mine would having ya driving sideways when it hits second and a little out of shape in third. Gotta get an Eaton.

When I Had a one legger, It was horrible to launch the car. I couldn't leave with anything above 3,000 RPM's (still 0 psi) cause I would smoke the tire a full 1/8 mile. (I launched at 5 Psi the first time and smoked the tire the entire way so badly that everyone in the pit's thought I had Blown my motor).

Now, It's like a night and day difference. At least when I leave to hard I actually GO somewhere while I spin the entire 60'. (did it twice and still managed to get 2.2's.) The biggest difference is that I can barely spin the tires on the 1st to 2nd shift at the track.

On street tires, I went from a 2.2-2.4 on the 60' with the one legger to CONSISTANT 2.0 with the posi. (both test were done while only boosting 15psi max).

Plus, You look kinda funny when you do a burnout. You kinda hope no one is looking. Either that or one of the track officials comes up to your car and tells you that you just broke your rear end, and to get it off the track before the fluid starts spilling everywhere. It sucks.
