Sorry if these seems like a silly question, but this is my first G-body. I need to remove the grill to get to the intercooler. And I want to paint the grill while I have it out. So how do I get to the bolts? It appears to only be attached at the top from what I can tell...

It is only attached at the top. The bottom is retained by two extension springs that hook onto the bumper support. They let the grille give if you bump something and compress the bumper shocks.

so where do I access the screws at the top? I didn't have time to really research it well earlier, but I didn't see anything in my brief look over...

I think you can get at it without getting on your back and going underneath. You need an allen-key wrench thingee (that's professional terminology). They attach at the top, open your eyes wide, they are there.

easy - it bolts along the top
best way is to lay under the car. There are 2 springs that hook at the bottom of the grill to the bumper & 4 10mm bolts along the top edge. The grill will drop out.

After the screws at top, and springs at bottom, are removed, the Grille will have to be "rolled" or maneuvered out thru the front of the car.

To prevent the surrounding bezel (ie, the rectangular opening in the front sheet metal & plastic) from getting scratched up from the grille removal, I'd advise taping the bezel's perimeter with masking tape (3M Blue, leaves no gunky residue).
