How to remove old shifter applique before new install?

Any tips? I installed one over my old GN's and it was way wavy! Got one coming for my WE4 and don't want the same results! Thanks,

I just grabbed a corner, peeled the old one up, cleaned off the old adhesive and put on the new one.

It's basically just a stick-on label.

Wasn't sure if it was that easy! What did you use to remove the adhesive? Brake cleaner would do it, I guess. Thanks, Terry!

Maybe warm it up with a hair dryer to help loosen the glue. Or roll up the windows with the car in the sun. and wait 30 mins.

Make sure area is clean. Then take and peel a stsrter strip.

As you pull the backing off slowly. rub the piece that is sticking.

It's the same way photos are mounted. I even done my neighbors, counter top usin the same system. Just don't rush and
peel the the whole thing.

You should be fine. Wish I lived closer. HTH'ed
