how to tell if my tps is bad

my car idles only when i unplug the sensor it stays on but at around 2000rpm i adjusted the oem tps and i bought an aftermarket one and it does the same any ideas

key on engine off slowly accel if numbers jumper around on scan master on tps and dont climb steady thats a good sign its cooked this can be done by probing at sensor with volt meter

With key on, engine off, what is the TPS output voltage? Check it with a scan tool or voltmeter.
