i just got turbolink 2.13 and it is not reading. i don't have a floppy drive on my laptop so i installed it on another computer and the coppied it on to my computer. could that be the problem

Same question here... old school lap top died. Trying to load v2.13 on wifes new lap top... no floppy drive. E-mailed file and downloaded it on the new lap top. Tried to install and it asks for disc to be in drive a. No floppy drive though....

Although I would love to upgrade to 4.0... I don't have the extra $169 right now...

Anybody know the answer?

Thanks,

Joel

If these computers are running Windows XP or Windows 2000, that could be the problem (or NT, come to think of it).

Otherwise, it must be in the parallel port setup ...

As far as the install, just open the download with WinZIP and copy all the files to a directory.

Then run the program from this directory (it'll be named "turbolnk" ... no "i").

Correct ... just like any other DOS based program.

You can do the dual boot thing, or you can boot from a floppy/CD with DOS/Win98 (same thing that works with DS will work with the old version of TurboLink).

... or you can upgrade! :)
