Wow this thing works like a charm. I installed it yesterday along with the solid lowers and adjustable uppers. I immediately felt a difference just sitting down in the drivers seat. The car did not even lean to the side when I slipped over the roll bar to get in. Installation was not too hard. The instructions were extremely detailed. Just remember to measure and triple check your measurements as the instructions say. The quality was top notch. Now for the details...

I drove out on a side street footbraked to about seven pounds of boost (on BFG drag radials with no burnout) and let her loose. The tires spun over once and she was gone. The car never leaned over, the front came up nice and even and the car went straighter then it has ever gone before.

I highly recommend Paul's suspension for you car.

Going to the local eighth mile track tonight to see what numbers I can put down.

I agree. I felt a night and day difference going from an ATR bar to the HRParts bar. Definitely worth the money IMO.

I thought everyone knew how great of set-up it was by now. :)

While I perfer going around turns more then good 60' times, it's the best one I've had on the car.

Bruce I think we all know that Pauls piece is proven, the question is taking the plunge for the $435.00 on a piece of metal:eek:

Ah.....
I guess I just have things kinda backward in that reguard. :)
IMO, getting the suspension, and brakes CORRECT are the *first* *must do's*. IMO, if you build a 12 sec car (or faster), you first should have the car to be able to turn, and stop the car in a manner consistant with a vehicle of that caliber.

Who cares, that is the fun part going sideways and going up in smoke. You see there you go taking the fun out of it, build the suspension first boring:D

Has any one compared the Wolf Bar setup to Paul's
Super Away bar ?

I've been in 10 sec rides with both, and from in the car, and watching them launch, I can't see a difference.

The Wolf is alot more involved to install, and has to go with the car if you sell it.

I'll be sure to wave, as I go by :)

IMO, the fun is letting someone have the *go*, and then muscling past them, using HP. Then, there's just no excuse(s) to getting beat.....

I suspect Paul's swaybar would be more forgiving on the street as the Wolf setup is pretty much solid with no flex for cornering

How does it compare to ATR's ? Anyone had both ? Just have a "street" car (limited racing) so I thought maybe it would be ok

The ATR bar could be a bit hard on the control arms. Will eventualy tear up the factory lowers, if not reinforced.

I've run both, the ATRs don't hold a candle to the HnRs. The ATRs *bind* the rear suspension more so then the ATRs. The trick to suspension is running it as soft as possible to that the suspension works to absorb the road irregularities, rather they trying to break the suspension mounts.

You want a rigid frame, and soft as possible suspension that allows for best handling/ launching, etc, etc... Most people think stiffer is better since the car tends to turn into turns better with the hard suspensions. While turn in can seem better, it's what happens at the apex, and corner exit that gets the good lap times, and makes a car a pleasure to drive.

Do you have the exact part number for Paul's rear sway bar. I see on his web-site he has a few part numbers listed for our cars.

When I ordered my bar over the phone, I just told Dave E that the bar is for a 87 GN with a stock rear.

I'm seriously thinking about the complete package myself. So, I take it that the bar is just as home on the street as it is on the track.

yes, I would say you will enjoy it more on the street. My car rides like a new car now. There is much less body roll and the car just feels a lot more solid. And I have my front sway bar off too.

I am doing it, maybe if we get a few orders Paul will give us a price break:p
