Better safe than sorry

We are here in Little Rock. Traffic was easy going all the way up. Good planning on the part of the state gov. Looks like north of Lafayette was getting the worst of it along with the Houma area. Lake Charles has had worse rain storms come out of the middle of nowhere. I think we are going to be find. My uncle lives on Contraband Bayou and said that the north wind has pushed the water out of the bayou. He said he could almost walk across it!!! But otherwise it was not bad at all. I think everything is ok in my hood, but I won't be able to tell until I get home. Damn I hate having to wait for days to be allowed to return home!!!! Gonna try to "pull a few strings" to get home early tho.
