Anyone have better experience with other line lock kits??

Or is hurst the best all around?

I had a cheapy biondo line lock solenoid on my old 63 nova and it worked just fine. I think it cost like $30 and i made up my own lines for it for i think under $10. I think with the hurst you are paying for the name. Look in the summit magazine, summit is selling the exact same one for like 20-30 less. It looks IDENTICAL to the hurst kit, just less because it has the summit name on it and not the hurst name.

hope this helps,

Jamin

You're right on. Both Summit Racing and Mr. Gasket are located right here in N.E. Ohio. Mr. Gasket owns the Hurst company.

Having worked for Summit in years past, private labelling of popular products is common fare for Summit. And we save. :)

I've used several Hurst LL's in the past; all with success. I've never personally used the Biondo unit, just because of the high rate of returns we had on them at Summit. They're likely a decent unit, but you'll need to rebuild the solenoid FAR more often than a Hurst.

g'luck.

I have a Moroso. I got it as a kit from Cotton so I didn't have to look for any lines.
