HVAC Vacuum Lines

I need to replace the original brittle vacuum lines under the heater box and into the car. My question is where they penetrate the firewall is that a plug or are the lines and grommet molded into one piece? It doesn't seem to want to come apart but I just wanted to confirm. If it is molded I was just going to heat up a screwdriver to make a new hole in it and fish new lines through then silicone it from the inside. Thanks.

they goto a yellow plug in the center of the grommet and the lines are formed into the plug and change on the inside to vinyl hoses
from inside car squeeze the ears and pull it
if the hoses are fine by the fender just cut them off and splice new hoses to them there
you could use rubber silicone or plastic but for plastic youll need a couple inches of rubber or silicone to use as a splice
