I could use some suggestions on what the purpose of these relays are.

These relays where bolted to the driver side inner fender. They added a heavy hot to the alternator post and then split the wire to feed these to relays.
What would the purpose be? Maybe added a relay for future plans, fuel pump? -mike

Generally that’s where the aftermarket fuel pump hot wire kit is located.
That may be a custom hot wire kit.

Thanks guys, the green wire for the headlights makes sense, and the other relay does nothing. I will be pulling the tank down for a pump and hot wire, so I will tidy things up. Thanks for the insight .

I had something similar wired up on my first GN that made the low beams and high beams come on at the same time.
