I got a bad rating and dont know why

I have some parts for sale and a man called me to talk about them and brought up I had a bad rating . I'm new to the site and a new owner . I have bought maybe 6 things on the site and have ask questions . First of all I don't know where to go to find my ratings and if I have wronged someone I would just like to know what I have done . Your trade rating is 0% probably because you haven't purchased or sold anything on the site. People will give feedback when buying and selling on the forum and I'm pretty sure this brings your trade rating up.

You have nothing to worry about and the buyer who told you that doesn't understand the different ratings we have here. There are different ratings. A "Trading Rating" is something you get (either positive or negative) when someone buys your stuff and if he or she decides, can leave feedback on their experience dealing with you. A negative rating here means someone had a problem with a transaction with you. You don't have a negative "Trading Rating" so you're good or at least no one has not complained yet. Lol.

A "Post Rating" is the row of icons you see at the bottom right corner of every post. Similar to a Trading Rating someone can either positively or negatively rate any of your posts. Looking at your list of "Post Ratings" someone gave you an "Old" rating which is categorized as a bad or negative rating. I believe this is what your buyer was looking when he made that comment to you. It has nothing to do with your reputation as a buyer or seller.

To view your Post Ratings go to "Your Profile Page". On the left of your profile page you will see your avatar. Below it you will find your "Post Ratings". It will show how many positive or negative ratings you have given or received.

To view your Trading Rating go to "Your Profile Page". There is a tab labeled "Trading Stats". Since no one has left a trading rating for you yet it is empty.

Many times bad post ratings are given inadvertently especially when scrolling through posts on your phone. It's easy to hit those icons when scrolling and not know it. Had this happen to me many times by people who didn't even realize they did it. It used to bother me but I got tired of chasing those people down to have it reversed.

Had this happen to me many times by people who didn't even realize they did it. It used to bother me but I got tired of chasing those people down to have it reversed.

This happens to me a lot, when using my phone some how I hit this. I never even know when I do it. I think I will add a signature to the bottom of every post stating, if you receive a bad rating from me please contact me as I do not rate posts on purpose.

I noticed being I have parts for sale that two different guys labeled my post as "dumb" - Even though the parts I have listed have been selling... I saw that in my profile, it shows as a negative. So I have 2 negatives on me all because 2 guys thought the parts I was selling was dumb... that's dumb, lol

Probably an accident. You can try sending them a PM and ask to reverse it if it bothers you. They probably don't even know they did it.

I did that once to a member by accident. I apologized and fixed it.
