thanks

Check your inline vacuum heat switcher. They get clogged and rusted all the time. The thing is probably 15 years old anyway. I believe it is located near the firewall behind the turbo. It will have a vacuum hose going to it, a hard line I believe. It looks like a small dashpot.

If it's like mine, the water valve to the heater core is cable-operated (solid wire, like an old choke cable), and the valve is a bitch to work on! And if it's ALSO like mine, it's either stuck, or the cable is disonnected from the "cold-warm" slider behind the heater controls (mine's stuck AND disconnected :(

Another possibility is the heater core is somewhat plugged up, and not flowing enough hot water thru it.

Or (C), all of the above! These cars are gettin' old!

Mine was that vacuum module behind the turbo next to the firewall. (Like Darkside mentioned). I shot some wd-40 on it and moved it manually for a half dozen times and then it freed up and started working on its own.

hey thanks guys, i dont think its the lines because i put all new on when i put the new radator in its not the vacume lines ther all new to maybe the heater control cable ill have to check but i apricate the help thanks agin.

there is both a cable and vacuum but in different places..

the vacuum line is connected tothe heater control valve behind the turbo

pull heat sheild out of the way and replace if you can easily move the lever on it

the cable controls how much heat and cool mix coming in the car if you slide your bottom lever on the controls from end to end you should hear a door under the dash slap shut if you dont then pull the glove box out and behind it you will find a plastic lever on top of the box with a cable attached watch it while you slide the lever and see if the plastic thing is broke
i have seen plenty or them broke in all kinds of g-bodys.

as the cable pullls and pushes the platic thinggy should pivit and there is a rod attached to the other end that controls the door.

if its working but not closing the door all the way then you can adjust the rod on it to were it will push the door all the way closed

if the plastic piece is broke then post it back and ill go into how to change it.
the first time i tried to do one i couldnt get it outof the box so i took a box apart i had out of another g-body and looked inside cause if i kept braking them trying to get them out then i wouldnt have had one to use .

easiest thing to do is listen for the door closing under the dash.
and dont sweat taking the glovebox out its simple as about 4 screws.
