Hello All-

So here's a summary....

Purchased a 1987 GN 88k miles ALL stock...Initially the car would turn but not start..replaced cam/crank sensor and ignition module and upgraded the fuel to Walboro w hotwire kit.

Now I got the car to start up perfectly however, after i turn off the engine if I try to restart it it will not start right up and I am smelling gas...If I allow the car to sit there for 30 minutes or so it will start right back up. I am leaning towards thinking the stock injectors are leaking therefore flooding the engine after shutting her down...this would explain why letting her sit for 30 minutes or so she cranks back up.

Can you guys chime in on this? Do I need to check anything else that it maybe the issue and not necessarily the injectors? Anyway I can test my theory?

Also, If it ends up being the injectors should I replace the factory 28lbs or should I go with 40-42.5lbs injectors while i am at it? Will 40lbs injectors work find with a stock turbo and stall converter or would i NEED to upgrade that as well???

Thanks for reading and posting gents...

Put a fuel pressure gauge on it and watch how fast it bleads down right after you shut it off. Check the rubber vacuum on the fuel rail pressure regulator and see if any gas is in it. Hope that helps some.

If you do upgrade injectors you will need a new chip. Check out turbotweak.com and see the injector chip combos he has forsale.
