for a decent car expect at the very least 6k and it will probably have a buttload of miles. Don't worry about the mileage though, its all in the condition of the car itself and if its not hacked up. Don't get in a hurry and buy the first one you see, some people sell really well kept cars for decent prices just because they want them moved for the room. Look behind the rear for fried rubber, good floor, rear of frame, make sure its solid, pretend your buying a car that's gonna carry your kids everyday and really look it over. Any seller that would get mad about it isn't worth dealing with.
