IAC problems

My iac is reading 0 on my scanmaster and I have a 3k rpm idle. Are these prone to failing? Maybe just need a cleaning? How do you clean them? Thanks.

To get it good, it should come off the car. So get some gaskets and just drop it in some solvent.

GN T-Type org is sure to have some good info. Maybe even a way to do it on the car - clean the IAC, that is.

I just went out today and got a new one since the old one was not moving at all. I'm gonna try to clean it up tomorrow and see if I can keep it as a spare. Thanks.
