Ic Chip In Hot Air

I recently picked up a clean 84 T-type--It had been sitting for about 5yrs (had 99 tags) and the injectors were bad, I had a set of newer 42.5 injectors so I put them in and installed a chip for those injectors out of my 87GN--now I get code 51. Will an 87 chip not work in a 84?----If not any suggestions where I can get one?

Unless you swapped your hot air ecm for an 86-87 one it won't work.

the ecm swap is really easy.

i recommend it for the scan tool data if nothing else.

Yes, the ecm swap is worth it cause of the scan tools. They give out better information and chips are cheaper
