Those guys are just down the road from me. Just walking in the place makes me realize just how "low budget' my racing past time really is.

People drop 40, 50, 60, 70, 80, or more grand in there and not even blink.

Must be nice to spend that kind of cash without even thinking about it....

It sucks to be a poor mo fo:(

I would have to agree with 86brick. It must me nice to spend the money and not think anything about it.

how about havin 3 of them sittin on your garage floor :p ...AWESOME motors... Buick guys dont know how cheap they get away with things!!!:p ...welll on a stock 10-11 sec car with just bolt on's :D

Or you can just build a TT small block that makes $1900 HP for the same price as a stage motor..

It still doesn't help make my wallet feel any better though.;)

Just to clarify that I dont have even close to enough green to have them do any work for me. I stopped in just to see if they would do some machine work for me on one of my V6 blocks (I do my own engine assembly) and while standing there I overheard some of the prices they were quoting other ppl for complete engines. My wallet started to scream in pain so I looked around, BSed with an employee for couple of minutes, and left before my wallet died.

Hell, my HOUSE didnt cost what some of the ppl that come in there pay for an engine just to go racing.

On the other hand if someone does have a fat bank roll they can call up Sonny Leonards and tell em how much HP they want. They'll quote you a price, you send em a deposit, they build the motor, call you when its done/dynoed, and then you cough up the rest of the bucks. The engine is now yours...... for a small price.

In their defense: Even if they are high priced they arent a buncha hacks. Every question I posed or inquirey I made they had solid answers for IMO. If I had the money they would be doing my machine work and Im about impossible to impress or satisfy when it comes to engine work.

Im too broke to be poor. Hell, being poor would be a step up. :(
