I just installed an alky kit from Alkycontrol that I bought from a member on the board. It was all new in the packages but is not the newest setup with the ethernet style cable coming from the knob. So I get it all installed and turn the key and all the lights light up and the pump is on full blast. I checked voltage at the MAP. 5 volts at the gray wire, and 4.87 at the green. I know it should be 1.6 volts. I added a new ground to the sensor and that didn't help. I then did some reading on here and snipped the green wire that goes to the dash boost gauge. Still nothing. I verified the ground is good under the dash as well. Does anybody else have any ideas? Is it a bad controller?

Snip the green wire on the PAC controller then recheck your voltage on the MAP sensor green wire.

If the MAP sensor is 1.6 volts, then all of its wiring/sensor are good. At that point attach the green wire to the PAC unit and retest your voltage.

Example you could technically have a 1 bar MAP instead of a 3 bar MAP.

Razor thanks for the reply. I just got back from playing with it, and what do ya know, it was a bad MAP or NAPA sold the guy i bought the kit from the wrong MAP sensor. I swapped the 3 bar from our 85 and all is well. I even put the old 2 bar back on there earlier today and it did the same thing but only 3.6 volts at the green wire. Didn't think I would have two bad or wrong MAPs!

Dont think NAPA carries 3 bar MAP's.

Glad you got it.
