I'm guessing the tps is bad!

I just wanted to make sure.

I went to go to the store earlier and was on my way and it the car started buckin. When I parked it was idling at 1750 rpm!

I readjusted the tps b/c it was at 1.4 in park but I noticed the sensor didn't look like it had moved from last time I adjusted it. The iac's were around 90. So at .48 it was fine untill about 1/4 mile down the road it started the bucking and surging again and the tps was at around .7 in park.

Is the tps the only thing to blame?

Thanks!

I don't think I did.I have been driving on this tank a couple days before this happened.

Why would my tps values change so much.

I tried another tps(I think it's good)and I still got the same studder and surging but the tps values were correct.

Any ideas?

I had the same problem with an aftermarket TPS:mad: It was only 2 weeks old before it took a sh!t!

Get a new TPS from GM and you should be fine.

I would check to make none of the cables on the throttle body are binding in any way and that the throtte plate is closing fully. If all is well you most likely have a faulty tps.

Bad gas wont affect the TPS readings. It sure sounds like the TPS is shorted inside. Try another, I bet it fixes it.
