SignUp Now!or not doingAll one has to do is look at intake charge temps and you will quickly realize how you intercooler is doing.
I'm not sure you mean what you wrote. No issues whatsoever.
Colder denser air creates the opportunity to make more power.
E85 does not cool the air charge
Running alky through the up pipe does.
Nozzle size and adjusting the curve will yield gains.
But the time has to be put in.
It absolutely does matter and does make a difference.I'm not sure you mean what you wrote.
Alcohol will drag the temperature of the charge going through the valve by down by 15-30 degrees F more than gasoline. Doesn't matter if you inject it into the up-pipe before the throttle or at the injector. You can't say alcohol injection cools the charge and E85 injected by the fuel injectors doesn't. If one is true, they both have to be true. They're the same thing.
I'm guessing you meant E85 doesn't cool the charge before the injector, which is true, but also irrelevant. Whether you inject the alcohol in the up-pipe or the intake runner doesn't matter. The temperature of the charge at the valve is where it counts. Whether you drop the temp in the up-pipe or in the intake runner makes no difference.
Its very relevantI'm guessing you meant E85 doesn't cool the charge before the injector, which is true, but also irrelevant
Its going to create more power in the right hands.A seventh is just going to create complications.
This right here ^^ . Why would you want to complicate your fuel system AND tuning ?? How many monitor their alky pressure or even check pump pressure with a tester ? Just because the motor bogs down when you hit the test button doesn't mean the pump is producing enough pressure overcome boost pressure plus still spray enough alky . On E85 the fuel itself isn't the limiting factor in making power . What are limiting factors in making power on E85 ? The Fuel Supply , (having enough pump , bigger lines & bigger injectors) . The rest is no different than Gas , the Tune , pulling plugs immediately after a WOT blast , be it on a dyno or down the street , seeing what the motor needs .With E85 you can make enough power & pressure to push the heads right off a 109 and never be anywhere even remotely close to detonation. Lotsa fuel, lotsa boost, and low timing will get it done and she’ll stay together just fine. Adding methanol doesn’t really help anything when there’s no detonation in the way
My gain knob was on 2 with e85 before i pulled the system out, the car seemed to run better with the knob on 2 with e85 then on 6Would be nice to see side by side comparison E85 vs E85 with alky logging air temps, HP gains, etc.
On E85 how much are you turning down the alky?
