Yeah Yeah I know its cold...spare me...LOL:biggrin:

Wifes been buggin me to get outta the south for a few years now. The summers piss her off here in the dirty. Shes originally from MN and what can I say.

Happy Wife....Happy Life.

Im ready for a new venture and this job is a much better chance for my career.

Congrats.. I wanna move to the mid-west!!!! Start a life out there where i belong!!!

I hear ya. Car Craft Nats there in Minneapolis every year

Yikes Lil over 13 hours to the GS nats...AWW MAAN. Oh well could not always make it anyways even when I was living close.

Minneapolis isn't that far north.. i live even farther north..
you do realize that it gets just as hot here in the summer as it does in most southern states, and with all the lakes the humidity can be killler. then there are the mosquitos..

Sounds like you are ready to move........ LOL

Im aware of the MN "state bird" :D the mosquito

I actually be flying to MN sunday for vacation and going to the north shore. Been going winter and summer to MN for ten years now.

But uhhh to compare to the summers down here. Trust me if you think its bad there. You'd collapse in the south...LOL

0630 in the morning walk to the end of the drive to get the paper. Your head is already sweating. It can be 11 pm and you are still pouring the sweat just sitting still.

But your right for as cold as it gets in the winter it does get surprisingly warm in the summer in MN.

A wise man once told me that a man can live with a woman he doesn't love but cannot live with a woman that does not love him. Goodluck in Minnesota.

How bad could the summer heat be up there if it's frosting again in 90-days?;)

I've only been up in the winter and the day I left was the first in over 30 that went over "0"! Every guy in town it seemed had gathered @ the gas station and were conversing under the the pump canopy in sweat suits and spring jackets! Yeah, there I was in Carhart's gloves and a heavy hat. I could hear the 'tourist' in their eyes...

Enjoy, sure seemed nice from my short visit!:D

We have an office in St Paul.

Hope you like lutefisk.

i'm pretty sure that lutefisk is something that is only eaten by tourists. i'm 35 years old and have lived here all my life, and i've never had it or been a a house that was serving it..

Thanx for the well wishes guys.

As far as lutfiske...NO WAY:eek:. My wifes grandpa eats the stuff...LOL

I love some lefse though!

Yep!

I spent a yr one summer there....Saw several mosquitoes that were big enuf to stand flat footed and skrew a buzzard!:D

up in my part of the state, it's been a pretty mild summer. i think it's only been up in the 90's a few times and we haven't hit 100 yet.
maybe that's because i'm right up in the area of the state that has most of the lakes...

one thing i always say about MN- yes, it gets cold in the winter.. and yes, it does get hot in the summer.. but there isn't anything here that will kill you. go a couple of states to the south, and you start to find things like rattle snakes, tarantulas, and scorpions. up here the snakes just look at you funny and hiss at you, but have no venom. if you come from someplace like Florida, itm ight take a while to realize that there isn't going to be a 15 foot long gator waiting to eat you, but you might get into a staredown with the occasional muskrat..
