impeller play

I have quite abit of up-down-left-right play, and NO in-out play, I've heard that that this is the ok becasue oil press will make up for it and also heard that it is very bad, resulting in the impeller hitting the sides of the turbo...what do ya'll think?

talked to Joe, in-out shere should be none whatsoever, side to side is ok as long as it cant touch the housing.
