Hello,

Anybody know of a website or popular auto part store that sells the dye for redying our steering wheels? And what is the correct gray called for the dye? any info would be appreicated thanks guys. Can't seem to find anything on google for steering wheel dyes?

I looked into it...... heard Jack's would re-cover it.... so I contacted them..... he said he didn't fool with it anymore but would re-die it if I had one that only needed to be re-died.......seems like $40 + shipping both ways...... I found a good wheel and bought it...... needs to be re-died.... but I haven't done it yet.... still in the box it came in a few months ago..... my current wheel color is fine.... just worn all the way through at the top......

Update when you decide what to do..... I still need to do mine.........

Status on the redying

Hey Blazer,

That sounds like a good deal with jack but I'm trying to find a source where I can get the dye myself and do it myself without messing around with shipping. There has to be something online where you can get either the spray dye or sponge dye? Also what's this Zircan or Zircon wax I've been hearing about seen the website but forgot what is was again. The finish looks like wet glass when done? Any help on that would be appreciated? Thanks and also is there something called wet diamonds or something? or Diamondz? Thanks again for the input Jretrodude. :)

Find yourself full service auto paint dealer that sells SEM products. They can take an existing interior piece and match a pint of interior dye to it. For some cars the off the stuff SEM stuff is OK but if you have a burgandy interior the stuff the sell in rattle cans isn't even close.
