injector testing

Kind of an off the wall question... Can you test an individual injector by grounding the - wire and touching the + wire to the battery? I have some old stock injectors and conectors and would like an easy way to see if they even work. Can I see or hear anything by doing this? I really don't feel like installing them on the car to test them. Thanks.

thats an ok test but wont tell you anything but if the pintles are free. dont hold it open long the coil will overheat fast with no feul to cool it.you need to know if the seat leaks more and if the seal is good so they dont pee into the port leaks are baddd
