innercooler help?????????

i was looking to put a innercooler on my 84 T-Type that it .Do i have to relocate my throttle body ,and how can i do it or how much to buy a kit any info well help..? thanks

Only kit available is the spearco. Don't really have to relocate the throttle body, although some have.

Talk with Lawrence or Janace Conley, I think they carry the spearco I/C's.

If you choose a kit like spearco, you do not have to relocate the throttlebody. With the right combo, and turbo, you'll have great throttle responce, as well as superb performance. There have been a few guys here who have located the throttle after the turbo quite easily. Also, if you can get your hands on a turbomotion V2 Intercooler kit, that relocates the throttlebody to the intake. However, I would suggest to also consider using another form of cooling the turbocharge such as alchol, or propane. There are some guys in here who run in the 12's and even 11's running alky with the basic go fats mods, bigger turbo, ported intake, injectors etc. So Ask around before you open up the cheque book

Some guys get away without moving the TB but you will never have stock-like throttle response without moving the TB. Mine wouldn't hold an idle and would die if I hit the gas too quick from a stop. There are too many benefits from moving it and it's easy.

I have an CAs V4 21row intercooler with mandel stainless piping for V2 setup- like new, only on car 4 months.

thanks a lot fellas for the info.. dose your brother still have the spearco intercooler kit and is it for a T-type hotair buick turbo .also dose it have all the parts in the let me im very inertersed ......................................?

yes he still has it and it has all the parts you will need to intercool your 84-85 turbo buick. I had this same kit on my car and it ran very good for what i had done.

There has been some people talking to him about it but i know its still in his room so i dont think its sold yet, yes he is asking 600 for it and i ran the kit with the tb in the stock area and worked great, iam sure it would work better with the tb moved tho.
