anyone here know if these innovative ball bearing turbos came with a built in oil restrictor or do i need to put one on.

Innovative restrictor

My Innovative P.O.S. did not come with a restrictor-with required me to send it back to them for new bearing cartridges. If I remember the restrictor size (round 2) was at 0.060 but was still burning oil-and was corrected with a 0.045 restrictor

WHERE DID YOU END UP FINDING A RESTRICTOR FROM WHAT I REMEMBER MY CAR WOULD SMOKE WHEN I WOULD PUNCH THE GAS PEDAL AT IDLE. I KNOW THAT DUAL BALL BEARING TURBOS TAKE ONE BUT WHEN I WENT TO LOOK AT MINE THERE WAS NOTHING:eek: OF A RESTRICTOR.

I thought Precision offered a restrictor (0.060)-in which caused mine to still smoke at idle (not as much). I found a 0.040 restrictor on an import turbo supplier (? company...been a few years)-took care of the problem. I do have to say the turbo works great-but if it goes south Precision is the way to go (they didn't offer bb turbo when I was in the market)

well your right next turbo is precision i called them up for a restrictor but they have a 1.5 thread i tried that size thread chaser no luck someone had told me its pipe thread.

I made mine. It's .042 and my feedline uses an AN fitting to 1/8"NPT.

If you can find a piece of solid brass that fits inside the fitting you are using drill a hole through it whatever size you need and solder it into the fitting.

Must be cleaned thoroughly first and put something into the hole like a toothpick or wood to keep any solder out while soldering.

Turbonetics may offer one with NPT threads, not sure.
