Got everything installed. Low fuel light works. Car started and pushing the test button, nothing's spraying. The pump should only have power when pressing the button or is being called for when driving right? Where should I begin to check?

Gonna have to check all your power and ground connections. Yes the pump is only powered when tested or triggered by the controller. If it's not running when tested, it isn't getting power, or getting a ground.

You've got black/red/bare shield wire at the pump. Which should be what?

It's not ground. Ran a ground from the battery to the pump ground. Nothing.

I've got no power at the pump connector when hitting the "Test" button. How do you manually turn the pump on, power to the red wire?

Got it! When I was zip tieing up my wires under the dash, the zip tie was resting on the "tab" that keeps the RJ45 connect plugged into the PAC. Cut the zip tie and pushed the connector back in and all is good. Can tell the kit is spraying...my garage filled up with smoke so damn fast even with the doors opened!!!

So the problem was the nut behind the remote :D

Dont inhale the smoke ;)

You could say that. I'm glad I didn't start chasing and noticed that kinda quickly. Now I just have to register the car so I can test it out :)

Hmm, you say your garage filled up with smoke? I just finished putting that kit on, and when I hit the test button the engine just idles down a bit. I figured that meant it was working? I didn't think I saw any smoke? How can I tell if it's spraying enough?

Do you have knock? If not.. then its spraying enough ;)

Well, haven't cranked up the boost yet. I just put the alky in the tank last night and fired it up and hit the test button... I thought everything was looking good, till this cat said his garage filled with smoke when he hit the test button?

You dont know Joe then :D

If you keep pushing that button.. you will smoke up that garage

So I dont mean to hijack, but Ive got an older kit (from around 2003-2004) and when I hit the test button, I just hear a beep noise that holds tone as long as I hold the button coming from the pump, sounds like mores code. All the lights come on; power injection and led by boost gauge, but it doesnt pump. Not sure whats wrong with it.
Went in today and checked all the wires, everything is good.

Pump is 4-5 years old.. maybe time for a new one and do the pressure sensing upgrade. You can call and i'll do what I can to help.

Hmm...ok. Do you know what the beeping means at all? I was figuring I might need a pump....but in the 4-5 years Ive had this one...Ive only used it maybe 10 times due to the car being down for long periods of time. What's the pressure sensing upgrade?

New system changes color when kit makes pressure. Old kit doesnt. Kits after Dec2005 have all been made this way. And the pumps after Dec05 also were built using different valving and technique.

So.. if you crank the blue knob to the right and hit the test.. pump should spray. If not.. there can be trash in its head.

You can send the pump in and if its not leaking, it can be upgraded and back to you..

Need further.. call. Fixing cars over keyboards is tough.. phones work better.

Julio, what changes color? My pump was beeping also when I hit the test button and mine's new?

Hey its in the instructions

The turnon LED(the little clear one with the orange and brown wires) changes color when the system makes pressure. But this requires alcohol in the tank and a running vehicle.

Is your car running yet? Taken it for a ride?

Read the last part of the instructions

It changes colors from off to on....off vs red led just hitting the test button. I was more asking about the beeping though.

The beeping is normal.

LED changes color from red to green after pressure is made.

the beeping i think is the sound of the pump motor turning and it is more like a whining noise
