Installed a transmission cooler fan today

well not really a trans cooler fan, I got it off a motorcycle. hooked up as a puller it's enough to hold one of those blue shop towels to the stacked plate cooler. I thought it would be a good idea to hook it up to the cooling fan so the trans can get up to temp a bit. Has anyone done this and are there any problems with doing it this way. Seems to work ok but I haven't taken the car out yet and let that circuit run for only for a few minutes.
