I need to know what size fittings were used on the tranny cooler lines where the lines connect to the radiator?

I am considering buying a 70264 cooler from B&M and want to run the lines straight off the lines to the cooler. I've been told this is the best route.

I see the tranny lines are connected to the radio via a 90 degree elbow and what looks like a double female fitting near the battery.

Thanks in advance.

You didn't mention if you omitting the factory radiator tranny cooler system or not, but I also used an external tranny cooling system in line with the radiator cooling system. Here is a copy a member sent to me and exactly how the photo is shown is how I hooked and installed my external tranny cooler. Works great no issue.

Yes I am most likely going to not use the tranny cooler in the radiator and just hook both cooler lines straight up to the auxiliary tranny cooler......unless there's a good reason why I should use an auxiliary tranny cooler in conjunction with the stock built in the radiator, tranny cooler.

Thanks.

fluid exchange is significantly more efficient than air to fluid exchange in terms of heat transfer.

my standpoint is that if you have difficulty keeping the engine temperature down, omit the radiator cooler. If you run ECTs around the 170-180 range in even the worst conditions, run both, this way the majority of the heat would be taken out of the system through the radiator cooler and the external would cool it down further after that.

Seems there are a lot of opinions on that though.

I also believe that the fitting going into the radiator that you would be looking for is an inverted flare (size dependent on the line size, eg. 5/16 line = 1/2" - 20 male inverted flare) to -6AN assuming you are replacing the lines with braided stainless. I've never been a fan of hose clamps. they look and work like... poo. IMO of course.
