i have a question on installing a DP if i decide to buy one. i have a stock setup with a gutted cat. if i bought a DP could i just unbolt the stock elbow and DP and bolt the DP in?? is theer any welding or anything hard like that? i just want ot unbolt and bolt it in real quick. thanks

It's easy but its not that easy.

If the stock downpipe is welded to the cat, you need to Jack the car WAY into the air to remove it. If you can't jack the car or use a lift, cut the pipe infront of the cat to remove.

A Downpipe like a Terry Houston, that replaces the elbow can then be installed in about twenty minutes, very easy.

You can use a 3" band clamp to hold the downpipe to either the dump or New cat that you get with the downpipe. Whatever you do, do not weld this joint and installation/removal are a breeze.

The THDP is longer than the Mease downpipe.

You should get the short cat. that comes with it or a Random Tech. one will fit.

Mease pipe fits with the stock cat. I wanted to put a Random Tech. cat. on with the Mease pipe and the cat. was too short.

Luckily someone from Canada sent me a long freebie hollow cat. that wouldn't work with my THDP but did with the Mease pipe.

Got all that? ;)

Measure twice cut once.
