intake gasket

I pulled my intake today to put a helicoil in a hole. Is it ok to re-use the metal intake gasket?

I probably wouldn't, just in case. I would just get a Felpro 96033 (blue, with valley pan) intake gasket from the parts house and sleep better at night.

Anybody know what a MS 96037 is? Went to the parts store today and their computer now lists the intake gasket as a 96037. They didn't have any 96037s in stock but they did have a 96033 so I took it.

Yes it does.....otherwise it fits/works. I dont know why they do this.

probably older n/a 231's had no egr valve...
