interchanghable cross member?

i need a new cross member for my trans since mines rusted out, nj car,
is the original buick regal/monte carlo/gbody cross member the same or is this car 3.8 turbo specific?

Anything with a 200 4r will work. The 3 speed crossmembers are different.

Any cross member from a G-body with a 200-4R will work but some have the trans mounting pad in a different location. Some are centered, some are shifted to the right of center. In your case...87' turbo car...it's shifted to the right. Also some are solid mount, some are cushion mount like ours.
