Intercooler PTE

Hi All,
Was wondering if any one had comments about the new stock location intercooler from PTE? I have been considering this for my We4. Thanks for any information.

I' am considering one also for my car. Seems like a nice piece and a good upgrade over stock.

I would highly recommend this intercooler over stock.

It definatley woke up my car and I can say with some accuracy that I gained about 3 mph in the 1/8th over the stock IC.

My combo is a TA60, 57lb injectors, Extender/Trans +/LT1 MAF and progressive Alky kit along with the usual stuff.

The intercooler seemed to help airflow and the turbo didn't have to work as hard. This IC also allowed me to see 25-26 psi and my car went 89 mph first time out the the same settings as I had with my stock IC.

After a few weeks of tuning, I can consistently see 90-91 mph at this track.

In the 1/4 I don't have any comparison data as my combo had changed since my last visit. But my best 1/4 mph performance with the combo has been 11.8 @ 116 and I would say the intercooler played a large part in getting me there........as an aside, at the 1/4 mile track I can see 93-94 mph in the 1/8th.

That Alaskian air isn't cold enough for your car.

I've been looking at it and it looks like the real deal. These units are very pricey but they have it all going on for a street car. Use swaybar, all hardware included, stock location...how about a group buy!! I'm drooling!

PTE intercooler

Thanks for the input. Was hoping someone who had actually purchased one would chime in and say what the results were compared to whatever. I am going to go for it and will later post the results. I presently have a stock intercooler with the Dutwiller enlarged neck. (I'm sure I misspelled the Dutwiller name). Presently running 12.0 at 110. Want to get to 11.5. Ways to go yet.
