Was looking to clean up my engine bay with a set of new intercooler hoses for both my TTA and Buick and was a little disappointed when i got them from a vendor and noticed they were a lot thinner than what has been on both cars for 20years. Always worried about these things slipping off too. Is this something i should be worried about? Is this what the vendors are selling now adays?

I pretty much always use gates fuel filler neck hose for those. Not really the "cleanest" look but i'm more of a function guy. I do spray the neck down with hair spray to aid in slipping it on and then "gluing" it on when it dries.

I get mine from RJC. Not sure if the exact thickness, but they’re semi-tacky(from the material) on the inside.

I also use “T”-clamp bolts instead of worm clamps. Never had any issues.

Thanks for the info. They did come with the T-clamps. Reading a little bit more about them looks like there are different "Ply's" of thickness when getting the hoses. Visually i can see 3 and 4 layers on the hoses. I'm guessing when i got my cars they both had 4 Ply hoses on them. The new ones look like 3 Ply. I don't have the stock ones but what i've read so far is that they were 1 Ply which seems really thin.
