Where can I find/buy/order a few odd-ball parts.

I just gutted my 87 T "aka Bucket" project car. The floor has some surface rust and it has been taken down and is currently awaiting a good coat of sealer. During this process, I removed the two 6" x 8" rubber/glue panels that go on the rear floor boards on either side to cover some sort of metal cover. (not sure what it's called). I'd like to replace the rubber/glue panels if they're still available. Also, there is a rubber grommet within a round metal bracket that sits on the transmission hump. The cable for the shifter goes through it and mine is all torn up. I suppose it's not a big deal but I'd like to be as thorough as possible.

Finally, there is a black rubber/sound deadener piece that goes on the driver side right above the gas/brake pedals. Mine was damp and stinky from mildew so I tore it out. Of course there are still pieces still sitting in there (not damp), I was thinking about replacing that piece too but it looks as if I'd have to remove the dash.. (that doesn't sound like fun at all...)

any ideas?

BTW, anyone removed a dash before? How hard is it? (number of bolts? etc...)

Heres a link to removing the dash. http://www.vortexbuicks-etc.com/

The rest of those parts are boneyard. Depending on what panels you are talking about on the floor you may be able to buy what they call Q-pads at a body shop supply outlet to replace those. That shifter cable grommet is also a junkyard part. Its G-body only. You'll have to pull the dash pad to get that firewall insulator. Its the same for all G-bodies. From my experience the Regal is probally the easiest car to pull the dash out of. MC/ElCamino and Cutlass would be my second choice. The HVAC system has to be pulled too if you want it in one piece. Maybe a call to Brian at gbodyparts.com? He might have that firewall pad ready to go so you dont have to do the dirty work.

Hey turbofish38, thanks for the info. ( I don't mind going to the junkyard- better than working)

BTW, I was wondering if you can give me an idea where I can find OE or repro door moldings for an 87 T. I have an 87 T and the molding is stick on plastic/rubber. My friend's 87 T had a plastic "track" that was glued and riveted (?) in place along the side of the door, leaving about 6 small holes. This track then had a piece of molding (something like mine) that slid into the track. It looks great but the body shop that had done the repaint broke it trying to get it off.

Any ideas where I might find this piece? Or something equivalent??

TIA
