Pull the wire off the cig. lighter as that is probably shorted. Then put in a new fuse. If all is good then replace the lighter.

That totally worked!! Thing is it is a new cig lighter. Should there be a rubber washer or gasket between the lighter and the hole in the dash? Not sure why it's shorting out. But now the security light blinks constantly??

when you tighten down the stud on the lighter the hot clip can rotate to touch the ground casing. Make sure it's centered. A voltmeter set on diode test will stop beeping when you get it right.

Just bought a t type regal 84. I’m having the same issue interior door locks digital cluster– power seats, AC courtesy lights glove block lights trunk lights are not working the fuse is not blown. Could it be the radio capacitor? I do have a wrong size battery in the car could that be it.

Double check the right fuse for blown. I had a cigarette lighter short on my 85 gn and 87 t. Had to replace cigarette lighter housing.

Kind of good news. I found that the clk-cig space did not have a 20 amp fuse in it, so when I went to put one in, it blew the fuse? Does this fuse run the power locks and courtesy lights? If so, I'm guessing this is why they are not working. But how do I go about trying to find where the short is?
Disconnect wire to cigarette lighter. Replace fuse. Does the fuse blow out? If not, replace cigarette housing. It is shorted. Been down this road twice with two different cars.

I had two problems once: cigarette lighter and the dome light. Replaced the cigarette lighter insert with a new one and wired it with a 10 gauge wire. The dome light I forget the issue but it might have just been a bad contact.

Fuse is good. could it be the relay that goes behind the dash in the glove box ? I believe it’s called power antenna relay
