Interior question: headrest upholstery install

Quick question. Looking to get my headrests embroidered with the T logo. Saw they are held on with staples on the bottom. Has anyone wrapped themselves? Is it just simply wrapping the headrest foam and using a staple gun? Or are they a hog ring type where they curl in and hold inside the foam?

It looks like mine now (and they are relatively new) are held by staples. Any reason to use the hog rings instead?
