I recently purchased a fan set up from a 2000 Dodge Intrepid. I know Caspers sells the wiring harness for $66 plus shipping, but what about making your own? Has anyone done it? I read somewhere the Intrepid fans draw 24 amps of current on start up and 20 amps continuous on high. Couldn't one be made up using a 40 amp relay and maybe a pigtail from an old stock 87 GN fan? Or is there something to the Caspers set up that makes it a more attractive alternative?

I installed dual fans from a chrysler intriped, and I have extra plugs that I took out of the junk yard. They work great with no issues. Let me know if you need them. I would say $25 shipped if your intrested. I will also send you a wiring how-to.
