Hello everyone.

I recently noticed a small chip on my car’s windshield, and I’m wondering how serious it really is.

Some friends say it’s no big deal and can be ignored, while others warn it could spread into a crack over time.

How fast can minor chips grow if left untreated? Are there specific types of damage that are more dangerous to ignore?

I drive mostly short distances, so the stress on the glass is minimal. I’d like to understand the risks before deciding whether to repair it or just leave it alone.

Ya can get the chip filled at a local shop & see how that woiks for ya.

You can also leave it. I've had chips stay that just chips, & I've had chips turn into cracks.
