IMG_0002.JPG IMG_0010.jpg So I finally took my turbo off today to take care of my boost creep issue and port the waste gate hole. So I saw some oil on the inlet and decided to take the housing off. As you can see from the pic the oil is caked on the inside does that mean it is time for a rebuild??? As far as the boost creep issue if you look at the pic of my DP it looks like the exhaust has been hitting that wall would that contribute to the creep. The waste gate hole definately needs to be opened up though.

My DP had the same thing until I hogged out the material. No boost creep ever tho.

That all depends. Is there any in and out movement in the shaft. I've seen a dirty air filter pull oil like that. A bad or stopped up drain line can cause the same thing, but usually on both sides. In other words there would be a smoking issue though the exhaust also. If there's no oil smoke clean everything
Including the Intercooler. Then clean the air filter or replace it. Drive it like you always would for 100 miles or so. Be sure to listen for a normal noise. If your still getting oil past the seal ring contact Bison or any other reputable company for a rebuild. Hope this helps. I can't tell, but if your running a
stock inlet bell with the factory hose from the valve cover that looks about normal. If there is oil in the DP like you said check the oil drain back tube. They can get full of sludge over time. I've seen crazy high oil pressure
cause this also, but not so much on LC2s.

Yea guys I appreciate the feed back I yanked the DP and fired up the die grinder today almost done. As far as the turbo... I don't get it there is no end play it does not smoke at all and it has performed great so far I guess it must be from an over zealous k&n oil job. I am just cleaning it up and putting it back on. I opened the waste gate hole a little bit more and on the advice of Mike Licht am going to lengthen the actuator rod to lighten up on the waste gate and I guess I won't know how it works out till about mid June when the $&ukin snow melts I hate winter!
