I bought my GN about 3 years ago. It had been in storage for 6 years. I have owned 2 other TR's in the past but I had been out of the game for a while when I purchased this regal. The car has a 60-series turbo right now that was put on in the early 90's. I know technology has advanced since then and I was wondering if I should upgrade my turbo to get maximum performance out of my combo or leave it alone. I have 009's, 3" DP, stock IC, alky pump gas, TA performance headers and a 9/11 converter. I just put the alky on last week, I ran race gas before that and went 12.1's spinning like crazy at 20 psi. Now that I will be stepping up the boost with alky should I change turbos. Whats out there?

And I know the old saying "If its not broke dont fix it", but I own a TR, I cant help it...I'm sick like that.

leave it

Im a firm believer in tuning the car til it wont go any faster, then start changing combo parts. Suspension/tires sounds like its being overlooked.

I have et street radials and some boxed lower control arms, air bag in right side. All that being said I have not been to the track since last year and the car is runninmg ALOT better since last trip. The track over her SUCKS bad! It is not kept up at all so traction is basically a wish.

I am just throwing the idea of a newer, modern turbo out here to see what advice I can get. I do appreciate your 2 cents Brer, every lil bit of advice helps.
