Went to the track today. 3 passes. These numbers seem strange.
All 3 were made with the HD actuator backed off as far as it will go, yet I still had 24lbs. of boost going through the lights with zero knock using 93 pump gas and Razor's kit. That's very cool, but something doesn't seem right here.
No Banzai launches, although I did get a little more "macho" with each one.
Thanks

Yep. I couldn't agree more.
But at 20 lbs. boost with a stock turbo (and before the new turbo, alky, downpipe, 50s, chip, etc.) the car ran the same MPH.
I wasn't asking about the e.t. as much as I was the MPH.
Appreciate the reply, and as I said, I agree that better traction and more testicular fortitude would improve the e.t..
Just trying to figure out why the horsepower (MPH) isn't there.
The 02 counts and boost levels seem to indicate that it should be.
Thanks again.

Compare your old combo 1/8th MPH to 1/4 MPH vs. your last passes-

Right now your car is only picking up 22.02 MPH, probably with the stock turbo it was only 20MPH.

You are losing your power in the first half of the track, you need to get it down below 8.0 in the eight to see the gains in the rest of the 1/4..

I expect if you get it to 7.7 at 93MPH, then on a mild tune at 22MPH gain you will see 115MPH at the same boost level, just with a better launch AND better 1/8th mile.
This can be done on radial tires, you just need to get the feel of the car and get a better sixty foot.

Where is the cork? What turbo did you go with, what ic and downpipe?
Whose chip?

Many thanks for the reply.
I admit to being a wimp when it comes to launching the car.
Was under the impression that MPH, which indicates HP (?), would not be affected that much by the launch.
Next time I will drive it like I stole it.
The tranny is acting strangely, as if it can't decide what to do on the shifts.
Hence my post subject.
Think I have the right stuff. Now need to develope the gonads to drive it.
Big neck on stock IC, Hybrid turbo (slightly bigger than a GT3255). It's a Precision with a Garrett center section. ATR 3" downpipe. Chip by Eric.
Tires are Nittos. 275/50/15s. They are virgins.
Hope that info is correct. Had a barbecue tonight and consumed a bit of barley pop.
115 would be way cool with me.
Thanks again.

Man, you have tires to get it to launch!
Bring the boost up to 2 psi, take about 1-1.5 seconds to get the pedal from up to floored rolling into the throttle, see how well it hooks.. Try this on the street, the track "should" hook better than the street...

Work on the launch, if the car hooks, drop the time it takes you to floor it to 3/4 of a second.

I like to launch at a lower boost level, and leave floored.

If it spins, lift fast and floor it once again, the tires will bite if you shock them.

You are right about MPH reflects HP, you need to gain about 25 from 1/8th to the 1/4... time will tell, get it running better in the first half, then work on the second half later.

Dont blow it up
