Im looking at getting a new desktop for home. Wanted to know if this is a good deal or if there is anything better for this price? Looking to stay around this budget.

Also check out the other ZT computers to see if they are better. Less memory, faster processor worth it? Which is easier to upgrade? Memory or processor and will I even notice a difference from 2.5ghtz to 2.8ghtz?

I don't think you will ever use 1TB of information so those big HD's do really do much. Unless your video editing or downloading dozens of full length movies.

Not to knock you or what you are looking at, but I bought a HP desk top comp on a budget and the computer was the largest hunk of crap I have ever owned. I know these days nobody really wants to spend money, myself included, but I'd wait till you have more $$$ saved up so you can get a computer with higher quality parts in it.

As far as the GHTZ, that small of a difference is too small for the average consumer to notice, like DARKCYDE said, you will only notice a difference if you are editing full length movies.

2.5 ghz is not a bad cpu at all...especially when its a quad core... i have a 2.4 over clocked to 3.6 but i do alot of gaming. Its not a real good deal but your not getting ripped off either. If its for surfing the internet and microsoft office etc it would be a great system. But if your gaming i would consider a different approach. My system runs dual monitors and I have multiple windows running different programs and my q6600 dosnt skip a beat...and the FSB @ 1333 is nice too. I personally dont like the TB hard drive..I use multiple hard drives and smaller aswell....mainly if your systems crashes you may loose the HD running the operating system but the others should remain unharmed. Vista 64bit is over 200.00 and a TB hard drive..a good one is also afew hundred dollars and a q9300 runs about 250.00 so all in all..its really not a bad deal. If it was me..i would get the 2.8 CPU..its easier to upgrade memory than a cpu and you would have to load windows again to sync it with the MB/CPU...as posted before newegg and tigerdirect has some nice deals..

You're better off building one yourself. Newegg is the best option for parts. I've been building comptuers for 7 or 8 years now as a business, but I don't wanna make a cheap plug

Im with Antagon, build that thing yourself, I do it, its way easier than a turbobuick! Building one almost guarantees that it will be a better faster computer than a store bought comp. I say almost because sometimes places like frys can build a faster computer for cheap BUT sometimes they are junk.

Yeah I talked to this computer nerd at my job and he was saying its just better to buy a computer for the needs I have. He said atleast this way it has a warranty and for what Im looking for I could get it cheapier already built. I also heard to wait till mid year and they should come out with a different windows version (better than Vista)? But I just wanted to see if that computer I posted was a good deal or if I could buy one already built with simulare or better performance for the price. I could spend probably close to a G but dont want to spend that and in like 3-4 months that same computer is on sale for like $500. Would rather spend $599 and see it later for like $450, I could live with that.
