Is this a good shift kit?

I have one in a box at the top of my closet that I actually won a few years ago at a Houston Buick Club meeting. I can't remember what kind it is. It's in a black & white box, has some guys face on the front of it, and I want to so it says "No Yo Yo" or something on it. ???

If this one sucks, let me know of a good one please.

I bet you get

20 different opinions on this. Go with someone you can get support. Several of the "techs" here offer and use specific valve body mod kits. I would support one of these guys as they will be able to tech support if needed. Research it some more.

Sounds like a Trans-Go kit. Since you are from Texas there is a chance that it may be a Mike Kurtz modifed kit. If that is the case it should work well for you. If not, I would take Bruce's advise.

Mike Kurtz usually crosses out some of the instructions included in the kit and writes some of his own. There may also be a PMAC or Century Transmission on or in the box if it is one he modified. HTH

If the box says "no yo yo" on the front and has a face of a man, then it is definitely a Gil Younger kit. I install these kits at work for people on all different kinds of trannys, not just 2004r's. And in my opinion it is one of the best kits on the market, especially for the price.

heres the problem with the kit,IMPROPER ACCUMULATOR AND LINE BIAS CONTROL RESULTING IN SOFT SHIFTS AT HIGH THROTTLE ANGLES.DEFINATELY NOT FOR A TURBO REGAL,BUT WILL GET GRANDMAS GRAND PRIX STATION WAGON WORKING THE WAY IT SHOULD.
