is this turbo goin bad?

when i bought my car the guy said the turbo was basically new...and now its starting leak a little oil from the bottom of it..and it'll smoke a little bit but not much...is there a gasket bad or what is this from?

oh yea no smoke out of the exhuast or anythign and the car seems to be running fine.

It could be leaking at the oil return line from the bottom of the turbo. It's a flex type line that has been known to leak. A new gasket will cure it if that is the problem.

okay deff. think its the gasket...its leaking at the bottom of the turbo..

To be sure: with the engine cold, spray the bottom of the turbo where the return line is with brake-clean. Then take it out for a ride, when you get back you should be able to see where the leak is coming from.

I feel your pain. I just ordered some from full throttle last week. $8.17 for shipping - and the place is like a 30 minute drive from my house. Although I really got them quick. I called and ordered the gaskets on monday and they were at my door on tuesday, so I'm not really complaining.
