Saudi Arabia's judicial system is backwards.

The man shouldn't have smoked. Indeed, he should have gotten a fine of some sort or some sort of punishment.

But lashes? And not only that, there are plenty of other things that are definately worth taking up against the Saudi political system.

Oh their judical system is far from perfect. I dont think anyone would deny that but this schmuch got just what he deserved. How would feel if you kid was sitting behind him and started weezing from an asthma attack because this azzhole wanted to smoke (2) feet from ur kid in an enclosed space where Oxygen is limited?

I think they should have just locked him in the luggage compartment for the remainder of the flight.

I wonder if he would have done that on an Israeli flight with soldiors armed with fully automatic weapons...

America needs to loose some of its liberal policies when dealing with people who just cant conform. (50) lashes....lol I think more like a (100) would have been more befitting.

Yep they don't bull$hit over there with their rules. I believe in Turkey with your first DUI they take you 20 miles out and make you walk back. Your second DUI gets you executed! Some of the places in the Middle East that I've been, they don't drink at all....the Muslim,s in general don't drink over there. I was dating a British lady and she told me that the more wealthy Muslim guys will sneak off to Bahrain, change their cloths to party or what not.
