I've searched to no avail...

I can't seem to find out the differences between the 86 GN and the 87 GN. They were both intercooled, I spent 30 mins arguing with my friend that the 86's were, he still thinks they aren't . I guess I am wondering, is their an advantage to one or the other? Parts interchangable ? Or are they the same car?
