GALLINA RIPS OFF HUGE 8.07 TO LEAD SUPER STOCK QUALIFYING AT IGNITOR

APRIL 16, 2004

The first official day of qualifying and national record runs got underway at Firebird at a few ticks after 9 am. Record attempts were fast and furious to start the day, as twenty-one new marks were established and more (certainly) to follow on Saturday.

Leading the NHRA Record Blaster charge, John Gallina drove his wicked SS/DX to a booming 8.07-173.07 (old marks – 8.24-165.69), which included a back-up lap of 8.12. By our unofficial calculator, the number equates to a 7.81!!!!! Not to overuse the phrase, but "the run was truly awesome."

John is one of the Buick Heros for sure!!!

Congratulations to John, his family and team

John's newest record breaking pass of
7.81 @ 179
was made at Boise Idaho, on April 16th, 2004!! Qualifying # 1 @ Boise @ 1.59 under his index

Look for more hearts to be broken in Bowling Green, Ky at the Buick Nationals where we p[lan on turning up the wick. Dont count a 7.6 @ 180 pass out!!!

It's pretty cool to have such a great guy do such big things, cause he wants to. Always a great team to watch in action is Gallina Racing.

I wouldn't count on it. Their NHRA schedule is usually pretty full. They try and make every major NHRA meet.
