Hi, I'm getting my car back together. I would like to flush the fuel lines in the frame. I do not have the battery in the car. What kind of 12 volt source could I use to run the pump off the connector behind the alternator. I thought a battery charger but my is only 12 volt 6 amps. I not sure if thats enough juice. Thanks.

That batt. charger ought to do it.... especially for just flushing the system, no pressure involved....

I tried it. All I heard was a clicking noise when I put the power to it and when I took it away. No fuel. Not sure whats up. It has a hot wired walbro 340.

you might need to energize the relay for your hot wire kit or bypass it.

I use a jumper wire to take power from the under hood light connector to the pump prime connector.

Thanks for the help. Besides hooking power to the gray plug in the wire harness I had to also get power to the relay the attaches the the back of the alternator. Thanks

That's because the hotwire kit uses the factory fuel pump wiring to activate the relay which brings power down the heavy line from the alternator. That clicking you heard was the relay activating.
